3 Day Halong Cruises - Cat Ba Island on Deluxe Halong Royal Cruiser

(01 night on boat & 01 night in Resort or 02 nights on boat)

Day 1: Hanoi - Halong ( L, D )
• 7h30 to 8.15AM: ATLANTIC VIETNAM’s bus and guide pick you up at your hotel for the 3.5 hr drive (165km) to Halong City.
• 12:00 PM: Board Halong Royal Cruiser. Lunch and a welcome drink are served while the boat cruises the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascape.
• You will see Dog Rock and Incense Burner Rocks, as well as Fighting Cock Rock before heading to Sung Sot Cave (Cave of Surprises).
• Later, we stop at a floating house owned by fishermen before kayaking to Luon Cave to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay.
• After returning to the boat, we will anchor in a safe and scenic location for swimming and seasonal fruit in the “Floating Garden”.
• Dinner is served onboard and then you will have free time to listen to music, relax under the stars or join in Karaoke singing. …

Day 2: Halong - Cat Ba Island ( B, L , )
Option1 : • Full day sea kayaking to discover the hidden beauty of Halong Bay. After breakfast, served at around 7:30AM, kayaking begins.
• Then Deluxe Junk starts cruising on Halong bay, passing by some beauty spots like: Drum Cave, Man’s Head Islet, Turtle Islet and Fairman’s Cave before heading to Van Gia fishing village for BBQ lunch and relaxation.
• You will have an opportunity to understand more about fishermen’s daily life in the bay. Afterwards we continue kayaking to the other side of the bay to visit a pearl farming area
• We return to Deluxe Junk at around 4:00PM for the second night.

Option 2 : Cat Ba discovery : ( B, L , )
• 7.30 AM: Breakfast is served onboard. Afterwards, as the boat heads for the other side of the bay, you will have the opportunity of passing by Van Gia floating village and fish farming area
• WE will also visit Monkey Island before arriving at Cat Ba Island for lunch. In the afternoon, you may spend your time relaxing, swimming at the Resort or sightseeing in Catba town and bustling Fish port area

Day 3: Cat Ba - Ha Long – Hanoi ( B, L )
• After breakfast, we take a local wooden boat back to the Junk for our return to Halong City. Enroute there will be time for swimming and ‘arm-chair’ exploration of more beautiful limestone islands- have your camera ready for some beautiful shots !
• 11.30 AM: Halong Royal Cruiser arrives at the dock for lunch in an A/C restaurant before returning to Hanoi.
Trip ends at 4:00PM.

• Then the Deluxe Junk heads to Van Gia fishing village- one of the oldest and largest floating villages in Halong Bay.
• You will have the opportunity to understand more about the fishermen’s daily life, before cruising to a beautiful, secluded spot for swimming.
• 11.30 AM: The boat returns to the dock for lunch in an A/C restaurant before returning to Hanoi.
Trip ends around 4:00PM.

Being situated in the Tonkin Gulf, Halong bay is one of the world's natural wonders - a bay with more than 3,000 islands, which time, wind and waves have sculpted into fantastic shapes. The best way to appreciate this magical scene is from a boat, cruising between these karts cliffs, which loom like fairy-tale castles, complete with rocky spires and hidden caves. The bay is dotted with tiny islands, pristine sandbanks on the turquoise water providing an excellent backdrop for swimming or just lazing on the sun deck.

At 7:30am. Meet/ greet at your hotel, we drive to Halong City, approximately 3 hour drive. Once at Halong City you will board our private boat for a four-hour cruise of this stunning scenery, stopping along the way to visit one of the limestone caves in the area.( SURPRISING Caves ) As we cruise, Our boat staff will serve you a local seafood lunch on boat. After 4 hour navigation we sail back to harbor and drive back to your hotel in Hanoi. The trip ending at your hotel in Ha Noi.

In January 2002 we introduced sea kayaking to our list of services. We invested in quality equipment as well as gave our guides an internationally recognized Sea Kayaking Guide Certification course, enabling us to guide true international standard sea kayaking expeditions in Halong and Bai Tu Long Bay.

With this level of professionalism came outstanding feedback from our clients and our kayaking trips have quickly become the most popular way to explore Halong Bay. Not only are we proud of the over 1800 person paddling days we had in 2002, we are extremely proud of the positive impact to the local environment. With clients and guides picking up garbage as they paddle, there has been a significant and very noticeable reduction in litter!

A Word About Kayaking in HalongBay

Ha Long Bay is truly a natural wonder with over 3000 islands, grottos and limestone mountains that soar skyward out of calm emerald waters. In a kayak you can paddle through some of the many caves which lead to breath-taking lagoons, paddle to a floating village to experience this unique way of life and even buy some pearls cultivated in the local pearl farms. The flora and fauna of the bay is spectacular and witnessing a beautiful Sea Hawk swooping down to grab dinner is a common sight. A night paddle, surreal and mysterious, will reveal the incredible phenomenon of phosphorescence present in the water, each paddle stroke leaving a trail of glitter.

Among Halong Bay’s thousands of islands are countless beautiful secluded beaches. We have worked closely with the local Park Authorities to set up Private Base Camps on two of these beaches. Build into the natural surroundings are cozy straw huts, conveniently equipped with mattress and mosquito nets as well as a light and fan. Each Base Camp also boasts a western toilet and fresh water shower, amenities that you’ll welcome at the end of your paddling day. The camps are staffed by friendly locals who keep the camp safe, clean and tidy, so you can explore the bay knowing your belongings are well kept. They are also great cooks and you’ll be raving about the mouthwatering dishes, especially the fresh local sea food!

The Equipment

Our new tandem sea kayaks enable us to offer a true sea kayaking experience to avid Sea Kayakers, recreational kayakers and first time paddlers alike. These state of the art boats are very stable, comfortable and cover greater distances in a day, allowing you to explore more and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay. Along with paddles, lifejackets and spray skirts, our boats are equipped with two sealed compartments for gear and we also have 'dry bags' to help keep your gear safe from the elements.

Safety

Not only have we invested in quality paddling equipment and safety gear, but we have invested in educating our guides. Our guides have completed a 5 day intensive Sea Kayaking Guide Certification course. Along with teaching such things as training skills, leadership skills and navigation, a strong emphasis was placed on rescue and first aid techniques. Our Sea Kayaks are designed for ocean touring and are extremely stable in rough waters. Our trips, especially those for recreational and beginner kayakers are within the sheltered, calm waters of Ha Long Bay, therefore there is little or no risk of the kayak capsizing.
